Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) invites application for the position Boat Assistant/Boat Operator
1. Name of the Post: Boat Assistant
No of Post: Eight (8) Nos
Qualification:
a) Essential: 10+2 Pass & Serang Certificate (In compliance with KIV rules).
b) Desirable: ITI/ Diploma in Automobile/ Mech/ Electrical/ Electronics
Experience: Minimum 2 years as Serang in sea or inland vessels. Preference will be given to the Ex-Navy, Ex-Coast Guard, EX-BSF (water wing)& ISLANDER applicants having the qualification & experience mentioned above.
Pay: Consolidated Pay Rs.30000/- per month
Job Description & Responsibilities: Responsible to assist the Boat Master in ensuring smooth operations of Boats/ Vessels. Should be able to operate the Boat in emergency Responsible to assist in sailing, Safe navigation/ working practices of the boat/vessel Ensure proper mooring of the vessel/ safe embarking/ disembarking of passengers while coming on to the jetties. Under supervision of Boat Master, manage Maintenance and up keep of vessel including cleaning and adhere to operators Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Carry out proper fueling/ charging of battery charged, and manage supplies, as needed.

b) Desirable: ITI/ Diploma in Automobile/ Mech/ Electrical/ Electronics
Experience: Minimum 2 years as Boat Engineer/Operator in sea or inland vessels. Preference will be given to the Ex-Navy, Ex-Coast Guard, EX-BSF (water wing) applicants & ISLANDERS having the qualification & Experience mentioned above.
Pay: Consolidated Pay Rs.30000/- per month
Job Description & Responsibilities: Responsible to Operate the Boat/ vessel under supervision command of Boat Master Assist the Boat Master in ensuring smooth operations of Boat/ Vessel Manage and operate the levers while mooring of the vessel as directed by Boat Master. Carry out routine checks and maintenance of all levers/ controls of boats to ensure up keep of vessel and adhere to operators Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Exercise routine checks to verify seaworthiness of the vessel, while maintaining the highest levels of safety as the fundamental guiding factor when executing duties.
Age Limit: Maximum Age Limit(as on 01 September 2021): 45 Years (Age relaxation applicable as per reservation rules)
