Inspector of Legal Metrology recruitment in Lakshadweep Administration-Department of Legal Metrology
Qualification : Graduation in Science with physics as Main Subject Or Graduation In Mechanical Engineering. On appointment shall pass the Basic Training Course from Indian Institute of Legal Metrology during the period of probation failing which the appointment will be terminated.

Selection Criteria :
a. The selection will be made from the rank list prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in written test.
b. The written test will have objective type questions with 60% marks in Subject of Mechanical Engineering and B.Sc Physics (Technical Part) and 40 % marks from General Studies.
c. The cut off marks for selection is, 45% marks in written test with a minimum of 27 marks out of 60 marks in the technical part of the test (Mechanical Engineering and Physics)

About Company
The entire Union Territory of Lakshadweep is considered as one district. Earlier the district was divided into four Tehsils. At present there are 10 Sub Divisions. While the Sub Divisional Officers coordinate development activities in 8 islands, in Minicoy and Agatti the Sub Division is under a Deputy Collector. Administration Secretariat was shifted from Kozhikode to Kavaratti in March 1964. With increase in various plan schemes and fund allocation, the necessity of decentralization of department was felt and accordingly in 1972 new offices were created.
