Lead Data Scientist - Gurgaon, HR - Multiple Locations (865870)
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative fields with 5-10 years of experience in manipulating data sets and building statistical models
- Strong experience in using a variety of data mining or data analysis methods, with the ability to use a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using or creating algorithms and creating or running simulations
- Experience in creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics such as regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
- Experience in analyzing data from 3rd party providers such as Adobe Site Catalyst
- Experience with distributed data or computing tools such as Hive, Spark, MySQL, etc.
- Experience in visualizing or presenting data for stakeholders using such as Business Objects, Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
- Experience in using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
- Experience in working with and creating data architectures
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
- Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages or drawbacks
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
- Drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
- Coding knowledge and experience with several languages such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl, etc.
- Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques such as GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, etc.
- Proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights
- Ability to be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams
- Ability to have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes
