M.Phil/PhD Programme conducts National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA)

M. Phil. Programme

Qualification : (a) Candidates seeking admission to the M.Phil. Programme shall have minimum of 55% marks (50% for SUSI candidates and Persons with Disabilities) or its equivalent grade in Master's Degree in Social Sciences and allied disciplines from a recognized university. Candidates possessing Master's degree in other areas may also be considered if he/she has teaching experience or experience of working in the area of educational policy, planning and administration. (b) The NET qualified candidates, who have been awarded Junior Research Fellowships by the UGC, with the above-mentioned educational qualifications are also encouraged to apply. (c) Candidates who are yet to clear their final examination at the Master's level are also eligible to apply provided they pass the examination as per the eligibility conditions laid down at (a) above and submit its proof at the time of the entrance examination.  (d) In 2017-18,a maximum of 20 scholars shall be selected for admission to the M.Phil. and Ph.D. Programmes.

 Ph. D. Programme a) Full-time

Qualification : 1. The university also offers admission to Ph. D. Programme for candidates with M.Phil. Degree in educational policy, planning and administration. In addition to the qualifications mentioned in 3.1 above, candidates with exceptionally brilliant academic record in social sciences/allied areas coupled with publications of high standard are considered for admission in Ph.D. programme. 2. M.Phil. graduates of NUEPA will be eligible for consideration for admission to the Ph.D. Programme after due scrutiny by a Selection/Admission Committee, if they obtain a FGPA of 6 or above on the ten point scale. 

Fellowships : Candidates admitted for the M. Phil. and Full-time Ph. D. programmes will be provided NUEPA fellowship. Candidates who have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) with Junior Research Fellowships awarded by the UGC will draw the same through the National University as perthe norms and procedures laid down by the UGC. However, the continuation of the fellowship shall be subject to the satisfactory progress report of the scholars duly approved by his/her supervisor and appropriate committees at NUEPA. The scholars of the M. Phil. and Ph.D. programmes would be required to provide part-time assistance to NUEPA faculty in research and training programmes of the National University.
