Qualification : Post Graduate in Natural or Social Sciences or Equivalent. Experience : At least 3 years of post masters relevant experience at the state or national level in rural development or nature conservation or wildlife related project management Experience of working with Central and/or State Governments in coordination with NGOs / CSOs and with participatory approaches will be preferable Experience in usage of computers and office software packages, experience in handling of web based management systems is essential. Willingness to travel
Language Requirement : Fluency in written and spoken English and Marathi

Consultancy Amount : Rs. 55,000/-
Posting : Mumbai
Duration : Initially for a period of one year–extendable Unto the end of the project period on yearly basis.

The Mangrove Cell was created by the Government of Maharashtra on January 05, 2012 to protect, conserve and manage the mangroves of the State. The creation of the Mangrove Cell is an important step in the conservation and management of mangroves in the State. The Cell has also been given the additional responsibility of conservation of coastal biodiversity; an area seldom paid the attention it deserves. The Cell is headquartered in Mumbai and headed by a Chief Conservator of Forests.
