Key Accountabilities

Develop technical solutions based upon ''standard'' designs that provide an attractive solution for both the customer and Rolls-Royce.

To meet our customer s expectation on quality, and to comply with emission legislation

Direct responsibility for components including testing

Consider requirements from customer, design, production and regulatory requirements.

Consider requirements from the headquarters.

Responsible for approving components and systems including testing

Supplier management in compliance with the Rolls-Royce Power Systems policies.

Generate equipment layouts, engineering drawings and material take offs for EGAT systems for new developments

Trouble shooting and Root cause analysis for project and market issues.

Lead team to create time plans, budgeting, concept development, and scope definition

Lead Cross functional and cross site discussions to conclude on technical topics.

Work in agile teams with good collaboration with our colleagues in design and analytics teams at global level.

Provide technical documentation as required for manufacturing, assembly, test and troubleshooting for all the EGAT System aspects of Rolls-Royce Power Systems products.

Functional Reporting to the Headquarters in Germany

Qualification & Skills

Minimum 10+ years experience in engineering complex mechanical systems within internal combustion engine s powertrain domain

At least 4 years experience in internal combustion engine s exhaust aftertreatment design and development

BE / MTech or similar technical education is preferred

Education of diesel engine combustion and exhaust aftertreatment is an added advantage

Demonstrated expertise in leading a team of 7 to 10 engineers

Fluency in English, written and spoken

Excellent interpersonal skills

Self-starter with strong technical leadership skills

Able to work on / lead multiple projects simultaneously and to make sound priority decisions

Able to effectively develop and manage complex project plans, starting at concept and ending at final engine product

Strong functional understanding of exhaust gas aftertreatment systems and demonstrated expertise in design and development of one or more components or systems relevant to EGAT.

Knowledge of Emission levels, regulations and ways to fulfill them

Passionate about handling new challenges and building strong team with a drive for results.

Ability to professionally interact, work and coordinate with cross functional local and global teams, local and global manufacturers

Understanding of analytics, dosing strategies, sensors, and control systems with a proven record of utilizing these skills to develop new products.

Able to interpret the results from Thermodynamics and Mechanics teams

Knowledge of design and manufacturing of Sheet metal (bent, welded), and piping components relevant to Exhaust gas aftertreatment systems

Experience and knowledge on concept developments for Mixers, SCR, DPF, and DOC housings.

Knowledge on testing and validation (DVPs) of Exhaust Gas After Treatment systems

Expertise in drawings related to exhaust after treatment components

Work with due regard to all company policies including those of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.

Conduct the job in a manner that is in the best interest of Rolls-Royce Power Systems.

German language is an added advantage
