Job Description

Operational:


  • Maintain a valid capacity requirement plan which supports the master production plan.
  • Create and share the monthly production plan maintaining the targeted inventories of finished Goods & Raw materials.
  • Identify and manage bottlenecks and capacity issues with the Production Management team, co-ordinate internally and externally the resolution of the issues. Ensuring alternate vendor source readiness, controlling SOB between vendors, etc.
  • Lead weekly/monthly Production Schedule meetings for regulating the product mix based on Runner – Repeater – Stranger models and share the rolling plan with all.
  • Liaise with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, to manage the Engineering change implementation for existing model and hassle-free introduction of the new model. Ensure Zero Nonmoving during the changeover.
  • Liaise with Purchase, MIS, Finance for vendor process, product, commercial issue ( PO; Logistics, etc.)
  • Understand the BOM – Material consumption as per BOM and for correct material accounting.
  • Carryout PIV for all factory and Vendor parts, Timely disposal of Rejections from Vendor and Factory.
  • Establish and monitor MIS system parameters, including safety stock levels for finished goods and raw material inventories.
  • Oversee & Mentor Vendor cluster making them competent to ensure QCD improvements development capability in lead time reduction, Management Capability etc.
  • Monitoring on-time delivery at optimum cost with optimum inventory levels ensuring no logistics losses, transportation cost, inventory carrying cost etc.
  • Establish an IoT based system to make supply chain visible and enable timely decision making.
  • Developing the JIT supply using E- Kanban, Establishing Milk run supply, etc.
  • Create weekly/monthly reports and KPIs.

  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner that reflects integrity and respect towards customers, suppliers, peers, subordinates, supervisors and other key stakeholders of the company
  • REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 


  • 6-10 yrs of experience in planning/scheduling in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Automotive components procurement and JIT supply
  • Knowledge with SAP will be preferable
  • Minimum of three years of leadership experience.
