Job Description

Experience : 8 to 15 yrs

Location : Pune ,Chennai ,Bangalore

Responsibilities

Responsible for data modeling, including model consolidation and integration.
Draft and enforce data modeling standards
Conduct sessions and interviews to gather data requirements.
Understand and apply logical entity-relational design concepts.
Document, develop, and maintain data models
Participate in business process modeling, working with the developers, with respect to data mapping and validation of the data’s life cycle.
Consult with DBAs on the translation of logical models into physical models.
Deal with vendor-related issues concerning the support, implementation, upgrade and impact analysis, evaluation, and selection of third-party tools.
Have working knowledge of Data modeling tool like Erwin or equivalent modeling tools

Experience

Requirements:

8 to 14 years of relevant experience in data warehousing and data management
Experience in building conceptual, logical and physical modeling
Solid understanding of modeling concepts like normalization, denormalization, 3NF models, data marts, aggregations etc.
Ability to define data modeling standards and enforce the standards in the data model
Strong database knowledge preferably in SQL Server/Oracle
Functional knowledge in finance, accounting, sales, operations, customer and associate (employee) domains.
Excellent knowledge in usage of at least one data modeling tool preferably Erwin. Experience in model management.
Strong communication skills to drive discussions right from business end users to CXOs.
Excellent stakeholder management skills
