Position: – Manager / Senior Manager – Data Centre and Analytics Lab (DCAL)
Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) invites applications for the position of Manager / Senior Manager – Data Centre and Analytics Lab (DCAL).
The primary objective of this position is to manage the Data Centre and Analytics Lab (DCAL) at IIMB. DCAL was established in 2011 at IIM Bangalore as centre of excellence in analytics and Artificial Intelligence. DCAL involved in activities such as research, teaching, training and consulting activities in Analytics. The Centre also organizes a large number of activities such as conferences, symposiums, masterclasses, workshops and so on. The manager will be responsible for managing all the activities of DCAL.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Developing a strategy, blueprint and a road map for the data centre and analytics initiative.
• Interact with faculty, industry and data service providers to identify data requirements.
• Setting up the relevant processes and robust procedures and systems for DCAL.
• Development of databases with cleaned and readily usable data across all functional areas of management and different industry sectors such as retail, banking and finance, manufacturing, healthcare, service, etc.
• Building linkages with industry and government agencies for sourcing data.
• Providing managerial and execution support to Chairperson (DCAL), for all collaborative arrangements and programs
• Responsible to interact with faculty, industry, data service providers and visiting researchers for effective collection, processing and use of data in research and teaching at IIMB.
• Interact with industry to generate funding to support the activities carried out by DCAL.

• Ability to work effectively with members of the staff and faculty.
Educational qualification & Experience: Candidate with a Master’s degree and preferably a MBA from a good B-school, Preference will be given to candidates with experience in handling analytics projects external, Candidates should have minimum of 14 - 20 years of relevant experience
Age: Preferably between 40- 45 years.
Compensation: As per Institute Norms.
Reporting Relationships: Manager / Senior Manager – DCAL will be reporting to Chairperson - DCAL
Audience/interface: Internal: Deans, Faculty, Chairperson, External: Vendors, Procurement team, External Stakeholder.
This position is on contract. Selected candidates should be prepared to take up the assignment immediately. Maximum age limit for being appointed under these Rules will ordinarily not exceed 60 years for Non-teaching staff, subject to discretion from the director.
