Responsibilities
The Data Quality Assessment & Monitoring Analyst will collaborate with business process stakeholders, business subject matter experts, data stewards, program managers, information architects, data governance leads, core BAU operations teams, and technology teams driving the implementation of DQ improvements necessary to meet DQ standards. This will involve coordination with Finance, Risk, Consumer, & Commercial LOB business partners along with internal collaboration within the Team. This role will also be prepared to operate under new data management standards and governance that include adoption of standards for business term definitions, authoritative sources, data quality framework, and ensuring there is ownership and accountability for data with each of the data source providers. The ability to learn fast, work under pressure against tight deadlines in a constantly changing environment, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential for this job.

• Make Data Quality part of Enterprise-Wide Data Governance: Leverage tools and methods to Profile, Monitor & Assess Key Data Elements (KDEs) to measure change in DQ to and drive accountability and compliance at source
• Drive strategic solutions and timely remediation of data issues through effective root cause analysis, solution recommendations, and coordination with cross-functional data stewards and Business SMEs resulting in data remedies that are understood and properly prioritized.
• Improve data standards by providing empirical feedback from regular data assessment identifying patterns in DQ that go beyond existing data rules
• Provides assistance to team members and may lead a team focused on projects, processes, issues and/or problem resolution
• Delivers on all aspects of research, analysis, design, support, and testing
• Provides department leadership and may supervise assigned staff, scheduling and assigning work, establishing unit goals and objectives and providing training
• Work across all other DQ/MDM initiatives to ensure there is a cohesive approach to remediation
• Participate in cross-functional working groups directly and indirectly relating to accounts, metrics and regulatory reporting with the ability to influence owners of data to act for the collective good of DQ
• Analyze and document current state information process flows and source to target mappings to bring transparency to the complexity and interdependence between systems and data
• Prepare business requirements to address system root causes and arrange for sign-off from stakeholders across functional, Line of Business, and Technology Services

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or progressive work experience in addition to the experience below
• 4+ Years of related experience
• Excellent analytical and reasoning skills
• Understanding of data management /data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data quality
• Demonstrated process workflows, system workflows, and requirements documentation related to Consumer, Commercial, Risk, Finance and/or Treasury
• Proven ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with key partners in business and technology
• Demonstrated project management skills with ability to develop, facilitate and bring to successful conclusion
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with ability to translate information so that users can effectively understand and make meaningful informed decisions
• Ability to identify and interpret stakeholders needs and requirements
• Ability to work in virtual teams and matrix organizations
• Self-motivated; able to work for periods of time with minimal supervision with the professional confidence to know to ask questions as needed
• Experience executing data profiling using DQ solutions such as SAS DataFlux, IBM QualityStage, Informatica, or Podium
• Experience using SQL for data analysis
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and knowledge of databases such as Access, MySQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Teradata, Hadoop etc.
