Summary

• The Process / Mechanical Engineer is responsible for establishing system requirements, performing functional analyses, preparing engineering calculations, technical specifications, data sheets and reports. 
• In addition, the Process / Mechanical is required to develop, or provide input into, 3D models and 2D drawings. 
• The role includes the assessment and checking for regulatory code compliance and quality, of all mechanical and piping engineering deliverables.
• The role is part of Nielson Telecom engineering team based at the Gurgaon (India).
• Significant effective interaction with different disciplines is expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to and promote the Nielson telecom corporate safety culture and comply with the requirements of clients safety management system. 
  
• Assist in ensuring that mechanical/piping engineering discipline work complies with relevant sections of mandatory health and safety standards, in particular relating to pressure piping regulations or codes, and with due consideration of relevant client engineering standards.
  
• Prepare design calculations and documentation including hydraulic modelling, input to P&ID, line sizing, equipment sizing (Pumps) , HVAC, material handling and MTO preparation, including the use of applicable computer software packages. 
  
• Prepare technical specifications and data sheets in consultation with other disciplines.
  
• Contribute to resolving mechanical/piping issues during the project lifecycle (planning, design, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance) and prepare and contribute to technical memos and reports.
  
•  Prepare and/or provide input to both 3D models and 2D mechanical / piping drawings.
  
• Participate in and contribute to design reviews and HAZOPs.
  
• Provide input to engineering, operating and capital cost estimates.
  
• Assist in defining scopes, preparing engineering services estimates and proposals.
  
• Manage and control multiple small engineering tasks within budget and schedule.
