Media Monitoring Analyst - Trainee Role-
- The key task in a job as a media monitor is to scan newspapers, television, radio and the Internet for news items.
- These stories can be about a specific event, such as an election, or can pertain to the company employing the media monitor.
- Media analysts monitor how the news plays out in the press/social media.
- Knowledge of how the media works and how a news story breaks is helpful.
Major Responsibilities:
Suitable candidates will
- Be a part of the Media Monitoring team - working on monitoring and selecting relevant news; formatting of news reports
- Monitor designated media sources
- Alert team and clients about critical issues/important news
Required Experience & Knowledge:
- Smart and intelligent candidates with excellent general knowledge
- Keen interest in news, with a specific interest in science and technology
- Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
- Good general knowledge and awareness is expected
- Good writing, listening and comprehension skills in the English language- to deal with international clients
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office and Internet browsers
- Accountability and responsibility for undertaken work is a must
- Candidates must be ready to work in any shift/on any day as may be required from time to time
