Job Description
Eligibility :
1. Candidate shall be representative of a registered Voluntary Consumer Protection Organisation of the area, working preferably for at least five (5) years on matters concerning consumer grievances.
2. Candidate shall be well conversant with Marathi language.
3. Candidate shall be recommended by registered Voluntary Consumer Protection Organisation/registered NGO’s in the area working on the matters concerning consumer grievances or Chairperson CGRF.
4. Candidate who have Graduated (in any discipline) from recognised university may be given preference.
Age limit : Candidate shall not be less than 45 years of age at the time of submitting the applications.
Remuneration & Perquisites: Lumpsum monthly remuneration of Rs.25,000/-
Period of Contract : Member of the Forum shall hold office for a fixed term of three years provided that the tenure of a member may be extended as per the terms of Regulations 4.3 of MERC (Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum & Electricity Ombudsman) Regulation 2006 and MERC (Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum & Electricity Ombudsman) (Amendment) Regulation 2007.
Selection Process : If necessary, selection process may be on basis of interview to be conducted by Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission/MERC nominee.
