The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
- Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
- Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
- Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
- dentifies discrepancies in results.
- Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program
- 5+ years of experience with an architectural/engineering firm providing mechanical/plumbing drafting services, including 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) for commercial and institutional facilities
- AutoCAD, REVIT experience
- Proficient in the use of computers for developing engineering drawings
- Prior experience completing primary design elements in preparing Mechanical HVAC tasks and Construction Documents
Preferred Qualifications:
- EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- Experience with BIM (Revit or AECOsim) software
- Secret or Top Secret DoD clearance
- Working knowledge of Mechanical systems analysis tools (TRANE Trace or Equivalent Load Program, Various Selection Programs, Etc.)
- Direct experience in Department of Defense, Health Care, and Government facilities
- Experience working on projects that were executed using REVIT or a similar 3D BIM Product
