Position Summary:

Merchandisers work in stores to keep Beverage products fully stocked on the shelves. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining product availability and merchandising products at all designated accounts.

Job Description as Merchandiser (Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to):-

1)      Report on Sales, Stock at store, Calls Made etc.

2)      Monitoring stock movements & analyzing sales figures, trends.  Maintain the tracker for indent, dispatch, short fall & GRN. Maintaining a comprehensive library of appropriate data.

3)      Stock allocation & replenishment on weekly basis. Responsible for stocking main shelf with beverage products at large-format accounts such as general trade and modern trade.

4)      Maintains product in Store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by identifying replenishment needs; transporting product between backroom and display floor with manual equipment (for example, pallet jack, handtruck); utilizing hand tools; replenishing, facing, and rotating product; building, changing, and taking down product displays; maintaining product signage; cleaning product space; and securing damaged or defective product.

5)      Manages backroom by organizing and consolidating backstock (product); identifying, monitoring, and reporting backstock inventory levels; evaluating and processing damaged or defective product; re-packing product; organizing backroom materials (for example, pallets, product shells); operating powered equipment (for example, straddle stacker, powered pallet jack) and manual equipment (for example, pallet jack); completing Store documentation; and cleaning backroom.

6)      Prepare damaged and outdated product for pickup and return to plant.

Securing, setting, and moving displays when required.  Placing proper point-of-sale materials on main shelf, displays, coolers, and vendors.

7)      Provides customer service to Consumers and Store personnel by identifying and resolving concerns; answering questions; locating product; and responding to assistance requests.

8)      Maintains areas of responsibility in designated accounts by communicating status and concerns to Store and Company personnel; identifying and reporting unsafe working conditions; attending and completing Company training and certifications; following Company and Store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety; following applicable local, state, and federal laws; utilizing a mobile device to complete work activities; and operating a motor vehicle.

9)      Any other duties as assigned.

1)      Distribute product samples, leaflets etc. to source new sales opportunities

2)      Proactively approach customers visiting the category

3)      Approach the target group as per the instructions.

4)      Identify interest and understand customer needs and requirements

5)      Demonstrate, explain provide information about the brand

6)      Share information with the customers

7)      Manage the provided material including the product samples

8)      Ensure product visibility is maintained well

9)      Ensure visibility of all the available SKUs

10)   Keep a track of Competition Activity and report it to the Supervisor / Program Manager
