Job Description
Ministry of Minority Affairs invites online application for 2016-17 under "Nai Udaan" scheme for financial assistance from candidates belonging to notified Minority Communities i.e. Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis.
Financial assistance is for the purpose of adequately equipping candidates to compete for appointment to Civil Services in the Union and the State Governments and to increase the representation of the minorities in the Civil Services. The financial assistance will be provided in accordance with the slots provided to each community and on first-cum-first serve basis.
Eligibility Criteria : (I) The candidate should belong to one of the Minority Communities i.e. Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis notified under Section 2(C) of National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992 (ii) The total annual income of family from all sources should not exceed to Rs. 4.50 Lakh. (iii) Candidates should have passed the Prelims Examination conducted by UPSC; State PSC or SSC etc. (iv) The candidates whose results declared after 01.03.2016 are eligible for financial assistance during 2016-17.
The rate of Financial Assistance will be Rs. 50,000/- for Gazetted post and Rs. 25,000/- for NonGazetted post. This is one time award and those candidates who have availed this benefit in the past are not eligible. One Application Form from one Candidate will be accepted.

The mandate of the Ministry includes formulation of overall policy and planning, coordination, evaluation and review of the regulatory framework and development programmes for the benefit of the minority communities.
