Molecular Biology Technician /2 Posts
Essential Qualifications: Bachelor degree in any branch of Life Sciences/ Chemistry from a recognized University. Masters Degree in Molecular biology/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry or relevant braches in Life Sciences from a recognized University.
Desirable Qualifications: Working experience in molecular biology and immunological techniques like DNA/RNA extraction from cells and tissues, PCR and PCR-based genotyping, qPCR, ELISA, Western blot etc.Prior experience in working in laboratory animal facility especially in handling small animals and knowledge about animal health monitoring procedures by molecular techniques.Knowledge of using computers for record keeping and data analysis.
Job Description: The molecular biology technicians will be primarily responsible for routine genotyping, record keeping of the laboratory animals and ensuring their genetic integrity. Will also be responsible for routine health monitoring of the animals by molecular techniques under the supervision of the Veterinarian.Along with routine laboratory work, will maintain office record, store inventory and also take care of the purchase.Should not be allergic to animal odors/waste products/bedding materials and should be available on weekends/holidays for emergency duty.
Emolument: Rs. 18000

Essential Qualifications: 10th standard from any recognized board. Desirable Qualifications: Prior experience in working in a laboratory animal facility
Job Description: The housekeeping staff will be responsible for overall cleanliness of the animal facility and will do routine cleaning of floors, instruments, animal cages etc.Will responsible for proper disposal of wastes, animal carcasses etc. by following the standard operating procedure of the facility. Should not be allergic to animal odors/waste products/bedding materials and should be available on weekends/holidays for emergency duty.
