Project Assistant /01 for GED
Essential: Graduate in Agriculture/Botany/Life Sciences from recognised College/University with knowledge of computers (MS word, Excel, Access, Power point, Internet, Email). Desirable: Knowledge of plant taxonomy will be an advantage.
Pay Scale : Rs.12,500/-per month (consolidated)
Age: Maximum 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on date of interview.

Essential: Master Degree with minimum 60% marks in Agriculture/Agricultural Botany/ Botany/Plant Genetic Resource/Genetics/Plant Breeding/Agricultural Biotechnology/ Life Sciences.
Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates who have work experience in reputed laboratories related to handling of plant genetic resources and have skill in computer applications.
Age: Maximum 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on date of interview.

RA (I)
Qualification: Ph.D. Degree in Bioinformatics OR I. Master's degree in Bioinformatics or Computer Sciences having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associate ship. 2. NET or equivalent national level examination qualification is essential for the candidates with 3+2 years (B.Sc., M.Sc) pattern.
Desirable: Demonstrated experience & skills in database design, management, UNIX OS, in NGS data analysis. Experience substantiated by publications of high quality will be preferred.

About Company
In an unprecedented initiative, NBPGR, for the first time, has characterized and evaluated (preliminary) entire germplasm of wheat (22000 accessions comprising T. aestivum, T. durum and T. dicoccum) conserved in the National Genebank, at three locations in during Rabi 2011-12. At CCS HAU, Hisar, the wheat accessions have been characterized under optimum conditions. Data on 32 agro-morphological characters are used to develop a core-set. At IARI Regional Station, Wellington wheat germplasm were screened against rusts and other major foliar diseases. A sub-set of accessions identified to be potentially tolerant/resistant are being screened at two other hot-spots. At NBPGR, Issapur Farm, two sets of wheat germplasm, one under normal sowing and second set under late sowing were screened for terminal heat tolerance.
