National Chemical Laboratory invites application for the position Project Associate II
Subject: Filling Up Of Five Position(S) For Engagement As Project Scientist-I, Project Associate-II & Project Associate-I Under A Sponsored Project Taken Up In The Lab
ii. Division: Catalysis & Inorganic Chemistry (CAT)
Title of Project: Process for the catalytic dehydration of methanol (MeOH) to dimethyl ether (DME)

Minimum prescribed educational Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or Technology or M.Sc in natural Science from a recognized university or equivalent along with 2 years of experience.
Desirable experience, if any:
i. M.E./M.Tech in Chemical Engineering or Technology or M.Sc in chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent with minimum 60% or equivalent along with 2 years of experience. The candidate must have hands-on experience in catalyst synthesis, characterization and analytical protocols.
ii. Must have good knowledge in scaling up of a catalyst synthesis, catalytic process and to perform H&MB calculations etc. The preference will be given those candidates who have relevant research experience in catalysis
Job requirement: Synthesis of various large scale catalysts 2. Characterization of materials and interpretation of acquired data 3. Establishing and validating various analytical protocols 4. Carry over and perform H&MB calculations etc. 5. Carry over the reaction kinetics 6. Carry over the reactions in batch and continuous reactors
Consolidated emoluments per month: (i) 35,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship(Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.(ii) 28,000/- + HRA for others who do not
