National Chemical Laboratory invites application for the position Senior Project Associate
Title of Project: Design And Development Of Indigenous Strain Portfolio For The Production Of Penicillin (Penv-IP)
1. Post Name: Senior Project Associate - 01
Minimum prescribed educational Qualifications:
i. Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; and (ii) Four(4) years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services
ii. OR ME /M.Tech in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent with TWO years’ experience in R&D in industrial and Academic Institutions or S&T Organizations and Scientific activities and services; OR Doctoral Degree in Science/Engineering/Technology/Pharma/MD/MS from a recognized University or equivalent
Desirable experience, if any: Position-01: Experience in the microbial technology with specific reference to fungi, fermentation and downstream processing. Experience in molecular biology, gene cloning, transformation.
Job requirement: Position-01: Development of gene construct for fungal transformation, transformation, fungi transformation, metabolite analysis through analytical techniques, HPLC, LC-MS
Consolidated emoluments per month: 42,000/- + HRA

Job requirement: Position-01: Position-02-To perform/troubleshoot fermentations, optimization and media engineering, strain improvement, downstream purification, analytical estimation, and scale-up
Consolidated emoluments per month: 42,000/- + HRA

Job requirement: Position-03: Multi-step and upto multigram-scale organic chemical synthesis of metabolic pathway intermediates, analogues, derivatives, their purification, characterization and analysis
Consolidated emoluments per month: 42,000/- + HRA
Age Limit: 40 years
