Job Description
CSIR – National Institute of Oceanography, a constituent national laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research Institute (CSIR), invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of the following project staff, purely on a temporary contractual basis to carry out research work on the R&D project and to be engaged in NIO Head Quarters, Goa.

1. Position: Project Assistant
2. No. of. Posts: 01
3. Monthly Emoluments: Rs.20000 /- Plus HRA as per rules
4. Essential Qualification: B.Sc Geology / Chemistry
5. Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement Experience in processing of marine sediments and picking of foraminifera.The candidate has to participate on cruises, process sediment samples, assist in chemical analysis and picking of foraminifera.

c) Tenure: 6 Months

Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement Knowledge of magnetism and magnetic minerals.The candidate is required to work and assist the scientists in carrying out magnetic measurement on marine sediment core samples. The candidate is required to participate in ship cruises for geological/ geophysical investigations.
