Job Description

National Professional Officer (Tobacco Control) - (1801415) job opportunities in World Health Organization

Grade :  NO-A

Qualification : University degree from a recognized university.

Desirable : Post-graduate degree/ diploma in Public Health, or Public Health Administration or Management; In-depth knowledge about diverse areas of tobacco control at national and sub-national level will be an asset

Experience :  At least two years of professional experience in the development and implementation of health programmes, specifically in the area of tobacco control, at national level working closely with government and international agencies.

Desirable : Working experience with UN system, in general, and the WHO system, in particular will be an advantage. Experience in or knowledge of tobacco control legislations will be an asset.

Remuneration :  Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at INR 1,439,585 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.

Contractual Arrangement :  Temporary appointment under Staff Rule 420.4

Contract duration :  Two years
