Senior Research Fellow Genetics Jobs opportunity Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI)
Name of the Scheme/ Project:"Incentivizing research ‐ Molecular genetic analysis of resistance/tolerance to different stresses in rice, wheat, chickpea and mustard including sheath blight complex genomics." (EAP‐201)
Essential: 1st Class M.Sc.Ag (Breeding/Genetics/ Pathology/Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics.) OR M.Tech in Biotechnology OR Ph. D. in Plant Breeding/Genetics/Biotechnology/Bio chemistry/Botany/Life Science OR M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Lifescience/Bioinform atics/Botany/Biochemistry with NET or GATE qualification or any National level related examination conducted by Central Govt. Departments/Agencies and two years research experience. Desirable: Experience to techniques in Plant Breeding/ Plant Genetics/ Plant Biotechnology / Plant Pathology/ Plant Entomology/Bioinformatics especially preparation of scientific/technical reports/research papers

Pay Scale : Rs. 25,000/‐ p.m. + 20% HRA for 1st & 2nd year, Rs. 28,000/‐ p.m. + 20% HRA from 3rd year onwards as per rule.
Maximum age as on 01.07.2016: 35 yrs. for men and 40 yrs. for women.

Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI) is one of the Institutes of the ICAR under the Division of Crop Sciences. The Institute has two research stations- Central Rainfed Upland Rice Research Station (CRURRS), Hazaribagh, in Jharkhand, and the Regional Rainfed Lowland Rice Research Station (RRLRRS), Gerua, in Assam. These research stations were established to tackle the problems of rainfed uplands, and flood prone rainfed lowlands, respectively.
