Qualification: Master degree in Agro-Meteorology/Meteorology/ Agronomy/ Soil Science/ Entomology/ Pathology with 4/5 years Bachelor degree having Ist division or 60% marks or equivalent OGPA with at least 2 years of research experience of Fellowship/Associateship/Training/other engagements or Candidate having Masters Degree in Basic Science with 3 years Bachelor's degree with 2 years Master's degree should have NET qualification and 2 years of research experience. Ph.D. in Agro-Meteorology/Meteorology/ Agronomy/ Soil Science/ Entomology/ Pathology

The university caters to the needs of the farmers of the plantation crops in the heartland of Gujarat; the Kanam zone of cotton, sorghum and pigeon pea and hill millets of tribal belt.
