Admissions to Ph.D. / M.Sc. (Neuroscience) Programmes for the year 2017
Ph.D.Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS).
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE-2016/GATE-2017) in Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Electrical Engineering / Electronics and Communications Engineering / Computer Science and Information Technology / Instrumentation Engineering. Candidates who qualified in GATE-2016 in these subjects are also eligible to apply.
Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) (2017).
CSIR / UGC / DBT / ICMR examination for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Biology, Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (the candidates should also fulfil the eligibility criteria of NBRC for Ph.D. programme). Also their fellowship should be valid to be activated upto 31st August, 2017 or later.
Candidates will be short-listed for a two-tier interview based on their performance in the above qualifying examinations.
M.Sc. (Neuroscience)
Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS)
Ph.D.
Eligibility : Master's degree or equivalent in any branch of Science such as Life Sciences / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer applications / Pharmacy / Veterinary Science / Psychology from a recognized Institute / University or a minimum of four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering / Technology / Medicine from a recognized Institute / University.
Candidates appearing for final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.
Candidates with at least 55% (50% for SC / ST / PH candidates) marks or equivalent grade or grade point average from secondary (10th) examination onwards will be considered. Candidates should calculate their percentage up to two decimal points to determine their eligibility.
M.Sc. (Neuroscience) *
Eligibility: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any branch of Science such as Life Sciences / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer applications / Pharmacy / Veterinary Science / Psychology / Engineering / Technology / Medicine from a recognized Institute / University.
Candidates appearing for final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply
