Post Doctoral Fellow
Educational Qualification and Experience: The candidate should hold a PhD degree in Economics/ Development Studies or allied disciplines. The candidate should have demonstrable knowledge of working with unit level data (experience of working with NSS data will be desirable). The successful candidate should have sound conceptual grounding in his/her discipline and should have excellent analytical and writing skills. The candidate is expected to work in a project dealing with issues of poverty, nutrition. and related aspects adopting a multi disciplinary perspective. The candidate is also expected to work in a team and be involved in producing research reports/papers. The candidate should be able to take up teaching and other research responsibilities as entrusted.

Salary : Salary will be in accordance with the ICSSR Post Doctoral fellowship.
Research Assistant
Educational Qualification and Experience : The candidate should hold a MA/MSc/M.Com/MBA/RE/I3Tech degree. The candidate should have demonstrable knowledge of working with unit level data (experience of working with NSS data will be desirable). The successful candidate should have sound quantitative understanding and analytical skills. The candidate is expected to work in a project team dealing with issues of poverty, nutrition, and related aspects adopting a multi-disciplinary perspective. The candidate should able to take other responsibilities as entrusted.

Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for Development Studies is an inter-disciplinary social science research institute, with three core disciplines, namely Economics, Sociology and Social Anthropology set up by the Government of Odisha in collaboration with the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Since its inception, the Centre has been playing a proactive role in promoting multidisciplinary social science research in a relatively less researched state like Odisha and helping the State Government in their plan formulation, designing policy intervention measures, programme evaluations and monitoring.
