Asst.Professor/Asst.Librarian Jobs recruitment in National Council of Educational Research and Training

Asst.Professor/131 Posts

Qualification:  i. Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in the relevant subject for Lecturer/Assistant Professor conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the U.G.C. (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or the subsequent regulations if notified by the UGC, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent position in Universities/Colleges/ Institutions. “Provided further, the award of degree to candidates registered for the M.Phil/Ph.D programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bylaws/Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and the Ph.D candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:- a) Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only; b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners; c) Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate had been conducted; d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal; e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in conferences/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D work. (a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/Pro-Vice-Chancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/Dean(University instructions).” iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted. DESIRABLE : As the work in NCERT is related to School Education and Teacher Education, preference may be given, other things remaining the same, to candidates possessing a degree in Education (B.Ed./M.Ed. or equivalent).

Assistant Professor (Post Sr.No.35)Banking/Finance /1 Post

Essential: 1. First Class Masters Degree in Business Management / Administration / in a relevant management related discipline or first class in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU / accredited by the AICTE / UGC; OR 2. First Class graduate and professionally qualified Charted Accountant /Cost and Works Accountant / Company Secretary of the concerned statutory bodies. ii. Desirable: 1. Teaching, research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; 2. Papers presented at Conferences and / or published in refereed journals.

Assistant Professor (Post Sr.No.38)Bioscience/Bio-Technology/ Health Science/ Pharmacy/1 Post

Essential: First Class Masters Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering (Engg.) & Technology (Tech). ii. Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable: 1. Teaching, research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization; 2. Papers presented at Conferences and / or published in refereed journals.

Assistant Professor (Post Sr.No.29)/Bioscience/Bio-Technology/ Health Science/ Pharmacy/1 Post

Essential: 1. A basic degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm.). 2. Registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948, as amended from time to time, including any succeeding enactments. 3. First Class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy/. ii. Desirable: 1. Teaching, research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization and 2. Papers presented at Conferences and / or in refereed journals. Note:- The candidates with medical stream and having an academic degree awarded in the medical profession(M.D) can also apply.

Asst.Librarian/02 Posts

Qualification:   i. A Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library. ii. Qualifying in the National level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC. iii. However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the U.G.C. (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulations, 2009 or the subsequent Regulations if notified by the UGC, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of University Assistant Librarian/College Librarian.

Pay Scale: Rs. 15,600-39,100
