Job Description
IUCAA-NCRA Admission Test (INAT-2016)
Applications are invited from highly motivated students for a research scholarship to do a Ph.D. at the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune (an Autonomous Institution of the University Grants Commission), or the National Centre for Radio Astrophysics (NCRA-TIFR), Pune (a centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, a deemed University), which built and operates the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope.
The IUCAA-NCRA Admission Test (INAT-2016) is being conducted to select candidates for a research scholarship towards a Ph.D. at either IUCAA or NCRA-TIFR.
For a Research Scholarship towards a Ph.D. in Astronomy and Astrophysics, and Physics.
Prospective applicants should complete their B.Sc./ M.Sc./ Integrated M.Sc. degree (in Physics, Electronics, Astronomy or Applied Mathematics) or B.E./ B.Tech./ M.E./ M.Tech. degree (in any branch) by July 2017, with 55% marks or more.
The selection for the research scholarship will be through a written test on Thursday, December 8, 2016, and two interviews on December 8 and/or 9, 2016 (Thursday and Friday), both to be held at IUCAA, Pune.
