Job Description :
Ensure to install as well as configure NetBackup customer software on UNIX or Linux as well as Windows systems.
Ensure backup methods are in place as well as tested for FC LUNs.
Install, configure as well as maintain backup inclusive of physical plus virtual tape libraries or drives along with disk storage targets.
Managing Netbackup Master Server/Appliance with Data Domain
Install the needed client backup software (and\or upgrades and\or patches)
Analysis of Backup error codes generated and rectifying the problems and restarting the failed jobs where ever possible
Work with software and hardware vendors to troubleshoot and to solve backup issues
Oracle RMAN backup configuration & troubleshooting
VM backup and BMR configuration, troubleshooting and restoration. Exchange backup configuration & troubleshooting
Configuring Storage units/Disk pools/SLP, Catalog/IDB/Aux Copy backup consistency check.
In-depth working knowledge of NetBackup for Wintel & UNIX operating systems
upgrade Veritas Netbackup (Master, Media & Client) Version (6.5 to 7.1 to 7.6.0.4 then 7.7.2)
Understand concept of Hardware level Encryption on Tape Library for Critical Infinite Policies.
Conversion project of media migration from LTO2 to LTOx
Tape library drives up gradation from LTO3/4/5 to LTO6. Tape library & Drives Health Check (Preventive Measure) & firmware up gradation.
FC Path knowledge for Disk & Tape for critical backups.
