Your Role and Responsibilities
As Network Security Engineer, you are responsible to configure, administer, and document firewall infrastructure including Palo Alto/ Checkpoint / Cisco / FortiGate Firewall /Juniper
Responsibilities
- Maintain High Availability and Clustered firewall environments for customers using Check Point High Availability
- Managing Check Point Smart Console Dashboard.
- IDS/ IPS Threat Monitoring and Tuning on Smart Console
- Manage corporate Checkpoint Firewall implementing security rules and mitigating network attacks.
- Firewall troubleshooting and maintenance issues. Responsible for resolving the issues from the company and/or vendor documented resolutions.
- Log analysis and correlation of Monthly reports.
- Creating Signatures and Traps to analyze traffic pattern.
- Supply data on resolvable firewall issues to the vendor Technical Assistance Centers (TAC) and, with assistance from the vendor technicians, advance towards full resolution of the issues and documentation of the process.
- Provide Support for VPN client Infrastructure
- Policy/ Signature Reinforcement based on the requirement and alert trend
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in IT Industry
- Experience in firewall infrastructure, working with Palo Alto/ Checkpoint / Cisco / FortiGate Firewall /Juniper
- Proven Knowledge of IPS Software blades and others
- Proficient in network protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, VLAN, TCP/IP, etc.).
- Familiar with Checkpoint models, capabilities, and architectures
- Ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be a self-starter, motivated to enhance Business Continuity skills
- Expertise to work effectively as part of a team and be able to guide and influence fellow team members through initiative and active participation
- Solid problem solving/decision making skills
- Proven verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in working with high availability environment
- You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
- Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
- Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
- Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
