Job Description
Research Training Programme conducts National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG)
Title : “Enhancing Capacity in GenomicsDriven Research on Human Health and Disease in the North-Eastern Region.”
Department : Molecular Biology & Biotechnology
PhD students, young post-docs and junior faculty members who are engaged in / plan to initiate research on human health and disease genomics in NER institutions ONLY. The number of participants is restricted to 25. Selected participants from this Workshop will be invited to participate in an advanced level Workshop to be held subsequently at NIBMG, Kalyani. Travel reimbursement (up to AC II tier rail fare), board and lodging will be provided to participants.

The National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG) has been established as an autonomous institute by the Government of India, under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology. It is located in Kalyani, West Bengal, India, about 50 km. from Kolkata. Connected to Kolkata by highways, expressways and railways, it takes about one and one-half hours to reach Kalyani from Kolkata.
