Assistant Professor Job Position in National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM)

No. of Posts : 08 (UR-02, OBC-01, SC-03, ST-02)

Qualification : Besides fulfilling the qualifications specified below for the post of Assistant Professor, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D Degree in accordance with the University Gran. Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions on Universities/Colleges/Institutions. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted. API Score as laid down by UGC Regulations will be applicable for teaching posts. Candidates for the posts of Professor and Associate Professor are required to submit cumulative API score based on UGC Regulations along-with application form, if applicable, in the format as prescribed by UGC.

Pay Scale : Rs. 15,600-39,100 + AGP of 6,000 

Age Limit : Interested applicants already employed under the CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972 or on identical pension scheme before 01.01.2004 will be considered on long term deputation for 05 years extendable upto 10 years or 65 years of age, whichever is earlier. Superannuated Faculty may be considered for contract employment for guiding/teaching/research/consultancy/skill development/pilot plant/food technology lab/any other task upto the age of 70 years.
