Job Description
Guest Lecturer Job vacancies in North Eastern Hill University on temporary basis
Qualification : 1. 55% (for General candidato) and 50% (for SC/ST candidates) (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree level from an Indian University. 2. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the Candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Tot (NET) conducted by the UGC or similar tot accredited by the UGC like SLUT/SET. 3. Candidato, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grant Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLUT/SET for Recruitment.
Desirable : Experience in Teaching
Desirable Specializations : i) Population Education, ii) Disaster Management, iii) Guidance and Counselling and iv) Research Methodology
Department : Adult and Continuing Education
Pay : The remuneration would be Rs. 1000/- lecture subject to a maximum amount of Rs. 25,000/- per month (conditions apply).

The objectives of the University, as laid down in the act, are "to disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit; to pay special attention to the improvement of the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people of the hill areas of the North-eastern region, and in particular, the intellectual, academic and cultural advancement".
