Assistant Fisheries Officer, Group-B recruitment in Odisha Public Service Commission (Odisha PSC) under Fisheries & A.R.D Department
Qualification : A candidate must have possessed a Bachelors Degree in Fishery Science (BFSC) from a recognized University in India or abroad
No. of Post : 53 (SEBC-13, SC-12, ST-28)
Age : 21-32 yrs
Application Fee : A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs. 200/-(Rupees Two Hundred only). Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe of Odisha and Physically Handicapped candidate whose disability is not less than 40 % (forty Percent) are exempted from payment of this fee.
Method of Selection : The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts will be made on the basis of career assessment and Viva Voce Test. The Commission at their discretion may short-list the candidates to a reasonable number for conducting viva voce test by making a preliminary selection on the basis of evaluation of their academic career taking into account the requisite minimum educational qualification.

The Odisha Public Service Commission was constituted on 1st April, 1949 after it’s bifurcation from the former Bihar and Odisha Joint Public Service Commission. At the time of creation of the Odisha Public Service Commission the strength of the Commission was three including Chairman . The strength increased to five in the year 1979 and further increased to six in the year 1996.
