Job Description
- Keep tab on policy & regulatory changes and prompt line manager for any changes required in group accounting policy / procedure.
- Liaise with the sector CFOs / Auditors and facilitate implementing the changes.
- Monitor the closing schedule for adherence.
- Provide inputs for ramping up the closing calendar process to enable timely closing of monthly accounts.
- Review financials received from subsidiaries / joint venture companies for completeness.
- Discuss with the subsidiary team members and provide required clarification / guidance where required.
- Review Related Party Transactions (RPT) data received from subsidiaries and update the RPT transactions in Consol Model.
- Perform consolidation of financial statements of designated sector(s) subsidiaries / joint ventures of GIL.
- Provide clarification to auditors for completion of audit.
- Provide support to the BPC implementation team and sector finance team for implementing BPC.
- Prepare profitability position statement and Audit Committee presentation of designated sector.
- Prepare required inputs / information from consolidated financials such as for Quarterly GIL Results publication, Annual Report, GIL Annual General Meeting, Bankers, etc.
