About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Rotate through the functional areas of the property to gain an understanding of how each department contributes to the success of the hotel
2. Develop skills and leadership under the guidance of the general manager and other departmental leaders through hands-on work and shadowing
3. Assist guests when needed
4. Learn the operational workings of each department by observation of team members, participation in meetings, asking questions, and special departmental projects
5. Provide input into the development and implementation of services and processes
6. Comply with the company's policies and procedures of each department in a satisfactory manner
7. Assist each departmental head with assigned operational functions and help with a strategic plan for the department
8. Complete tasks by utilizing and learning systems, tools, equipment, and software that apply
