Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Oracle Applications Administrator, you are responsible to work with Oracle E-business suite Application development teams and Application production support teams to provide subject matter expertise to maintain the existing infrastructure and to recommend best practices for the supported infrastructure. You will imbibe agile practices in your scope of work. You are also expected to gain skills in your primary work technology and to gain skills in other supported technologies in the squad through defined time bound goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting application infrastructure environment for Oracle applications and related technologies.
  • Work on Incident, Change and Problem of the supported infrastructure.
  • Work with application teams to continuously improve the design and processes.
  • Analyze and perform performance tuning.
  • Maintain compliance posture as per CIO Security Policy.
  • Ensure important parameters on DB are monitored.
  • Be part of 24x7 support for supported infrastructure.
  • Follow and be a champion of agile practices.
  • Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products.
  • Monitoring the application related products like oacore,oafm apache etc.
  • Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).
  • Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams.
  • Patch Management and Version Control.
  • Perform application, database tuning and performance monitoring.
  • Cloning Non-Prod instances from PROD as per schedules.
  • Code Migration Support to Functional/Technical Consultants
  • Handling tickets raised by functional/technical/business users.
  • Handling Alerts raised by alert monitoring system from Database and applications
  • Tablespace Reorg Activities to improve the performance/to reclaim the unused space
  • Schema Reorg Activities to improve the performance
  • Patch Analysis where there is a patch needs to be applied and application as per schedule.
  • Regular server administration of monitoring, backups and issues related to them, query response time and other performance Issues
  • Create DR setup for instances when required.
  • Monitoring Standby Databases and resolve respective issues
  • Regular database maintenance activities (tablespace management, datapump, purging logfiles
  • Work on DMZ setups to E-Business Suite
  • Work on Standby site setups for both applications and databases.
  • Hands on experience on cloud to migrate instances from on-premise to cloud.
  • Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
  • Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
  • Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed



Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 7+ years solid Oracle eBusiness Suite application administration experience with demonstrated track record of success
  • Experience in Oracle eBusiness Suite and Oracle DBA is Required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external clients
  • Work effectively in small and globally diverse teams of IT professionals
  • Must be capable of responding to a fast-paced environment and able to work multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be flexible to working in an environment of changing priorities
  • Hands on knowledge in Oracle DBA Performance Tuning Recovery Tools.
  • Experience with issue during high severity incidents Database refresh Monitor Space for the databases and implement the space changes



Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Effective at leading Oracle server and cloud upgrades and implementations.
  • Solid understanding of the Agile methodology
  • Desirable experience in Infrastructure Architecture, Storage and Networking,
  • Exposure/Understanding of Platforms (Linux/Mainframe)
  • Knowledge of Cloud Architecture and Devops, systems performance tuning and capacity planning
  • Experience with installing and using Oracle eBusiness suite Applications Products, Tools installation/maintenance/upgrades
  • Applying Tracing and checkpoint parameters, Performance and optimization settings
  • Log dataset management and space allocations, Experience with agile organization preferred.
  • You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
