Job Description
ü Patience and understanding in dealing with surgical patients.
ü Work as part of a team in order to carry out his/her duties successfully.
ü Provides Intra Operative nursing care in the OT.
ü Keeps all the patients under close and keen observation.
ü Administers prescribed medications and treatments.
ü Able to function as Scrub nurse as well as circulatory nurse in operation theaters.
ü Provides assistance to the doctor or other medical personnel in the assessment of patients and delivery of treatments, such as dressing wounds, assisting invasive procedures.
ü Monitors the life support equipment that patients use.
ü Provides the patient’s family with support as well as education on how to give care to an individual.
ü Should also be able to give direction and guidance to other licensed nurses and nursing assistants in the OT.
