Assembly, Generators & Towers -> Production Engineering -> Regional PE, TS&Q, APAC
A Regional Engineering support team to focus on Production Engineering, Technical Support and Quality support for Americas across multiple factories. This position is focused on Production Engineering, factory optimization and new product introduction.

The work location is in Chennai, India

Assembly, Generators & Towers -> Production Engineering -> Regional PE, TS&Q, APAC
A Regional Engineering support team to focus on Production Engineering, Technical Support and Quality support for Americas across multiple factories. This position is focused on Production Engineering, factory optimization and new product introduction.
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement PE and TS optimizations (QIP, CLQ; ECM, CI)
- Support and optimize the regional Production Engineering & Technical Support area on the region
- Lead continuous improvement activities, in coordination with Production, Logistics and PEX
- Ensure proper ECM follow up/implementation (ECR&ECO) on region
- Ensure Factories compliance with ISO 9001 standards, Vestas policies, processes and minimum standards
- Create and define strategies improve cost quality and capacity
- Coordinates factories CAPEX together with Factory Coordinators
- Formulates and implements project goals related to new product introduction
- Support /Coordination with PE on NPI and Tech Transfers
- Collect Manufacturing requirements/improvements & solve customs queries
- Optimization of existing processes
- Zero tolerance safety culture
- Tech and Kaizen coordination in the region
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
- 8-10 Years in Manufacturing Environment with a focus on Quality Processes
- Six Sigma Green Belt / Lean Green/Yellow Belt (Preferred)
- Project management experience
- Prior Experience from Heavy Engineering Industry or Automotive Manufacturing with solid Technical knowledge
- Production understanding & Change management
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis, Risk management and closed loop
- Lean Manufacturing (STD Work) and Q Management Principles-Structure on Q assurance strategy/Act on Facts
- Stakeholder Management
- Safety awareness
