Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. Program in Physical Sciences 2019-20
An Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. Program (duration 2+4 years) has been introduced at Bose Institute in collaboration with the University of Calcutta. The program has been designed to train students to develop their analytical abilities, critical thinking and effective communication skills and orient the students towards research.

- Atmospheric Science, Fluid Mechanics and Solar Physics
Qualifications :
Essential qualifications for admission to the Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. Program (2019-20) are:
(i) Qualified in JEST 2019 for M.Sc./Integrated Ph.D.
(ii) 60% (55% for SC/ST/OBC/women) and above in undergraduate examination.
Fellowship: During the first two years (M.Sc.) all students will be offered a fellowship of Rs. 12000/- per month. Beyond the first semester the fellowship will continue provided that the student secures a minimum of 60% marks in agrregate and pass with 40% marks in each individual module of the previous semester. At least 75% attendance of the classes is mandatory in each semester. Fellowship during the Ph.D. period will be according to the rules and regulations of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India
