ICAR-Indian Institute of Spices Research, Kozhikode, invites applications from candidates who are Indian citizens, to pursue research in various science disciplines leading to a Ph.D. Degree.
Eligibility criteria: 1. Candidates with a Master’s degree in any branch of science and a valid National level fellowship (JRF/SRF of CSIR, UGC, DBT, KSCSTE etc.), DST-INSPIRE or any other equivalent fellowship for pursuing Ph.D. 2. Candidates with lecturer-ship only in CSIR-UGC (NET) examination need not apply.
Subjects: Agronomy/Biochemistry/Bioinformatics/Biotechnology/Botany/Entomology/Genetics & Plant Breeding/Horticulture/Microbiology/Nematology/Organic Chemistry/Plant Pathology/Plant Physiology /Zoology/ Soil Chemistry
Fee structure: There is no Ph.D fees for the students who have registered from the above Agricultural Universities and carrying out research work at ICAR-IISR, Kozhikode. However, if a student registers with Agricultural University (AU) / Deemed University (DU) under National Agricultural Research System with any fellowship for Ph.D awarded through competitive mode of All India Entrance Examination (eg. ICAR-JRF (PGS)/ICAR-SRF(PGS)/CSIR-UGC-JRF/CSIR-SRF), the contingency grant awarded to the student may be transferred to ICAR-IISR, Kozhikode.
Upper age limit: 35 years for male and 40 years for female candidates as on 01-04-2017, which is relaxable by 5 years as per the Govt. of India rule for SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically Handicapped candidates.
