Job Description

Applications are invited for admission to the Department of Psychology, University of Calcutta (UCSTA, 92, AcharyaPrafulla Chandra Road, Kolkata-700009) for Ph.D. course and subsequent research work for obtaining the Ph.D. degree in Psychology. 

The numbers of vacant seats are 16 (sixteen).Reservation policy shall be followed as per West Bengal Higher Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Rules, 2013.

Candidates who wish to pursue research work in the Department should apply in the prescribed application form (obtainable from the Department of Psychology/can be downloaded from university website) and by paying Rs. 100.00 through a challan (obtainable from Cash Counter in Raja bazaar Science College Campus and College Street Campus).

The eligible candidates will have to appear in a written examination of 2 hours, to be held in the Department on 30th March 2020 (11.00 AM to 1.00 PM). The syllabus of this examination is the UGC NET (Paper II and III) on Psychology and existing syllabus of M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology, University of Calcutta. The results of the written test will be published on 2nd April 2020 (After 12.00 PM). The successful candidates will be called for an interview on 2nd April, 2020 (After 12.30 PM). The candidates selected on the basis of interview will be considered as Probationary Ph.D. student of this department.
