Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming at all times, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
• Maintain cleanliness and mise-en-place level at work station for smooth operation.

• Check emails daily first thing in the morning.
• Get the courier tracking number/details and email it to concern guests.
• Once the medicines are prepared send the details to accounts for posting it to the room./for payments.

• Go through the prescriptions carefully and if in doubt, clarify the quantity required and the dosage with the Doctorsimmediately, do not issue any medicines without a valid prescription.
• Communicate with prescribers. Any time a prescription order is unclear, you need to confirm the dosage and formulation (e.g., liquid or tablet).
• Dispense the medicines as per prescription. Counting out tablets, preparing a bottle label and handling medications to patients.
• Ensure patients' safety. Check each patient’s medication record every time he or she gets a new or refill prescription filled.
• If the prescribed drug is not available, arrange for the same through stores / distributors. If any particular brand is not available inform the doctor about the substitute and get the consent for the same.
• Teach patients how and when to take doses.
• Building customer relationship for effective service.
• Must comply with NABH standards and health department regulations.
• Follow the sterilization process and usage of Gloves while packing the tablets, preparing homeopathic medicines, churnas etc.
• Follow medicines handling procedure deligently.use gloves where ever it is needed.
• Check the medicines physically for batch no, expiry, quantity with the bill and prescription approved by the doctor.
• Cross check the medicines with the indent for batch, expiry, quantity and price.
• Store medicines as per the correct temperature to preserve its efficiency.
• During off-peak periods plan and organize, restock items, etc.
• Handle and store all medicinal products and rotate as per FIFO.
• Safe guard all medicines for any pilferages, follow the company lock and key policy.
• Raising the Pharmacy Requisition slips as per requirements.
• Undertake the formalities for procurement of store materials such as preparation of indent, receipt of store materials, recording in stock ledger, verification of stock etc.
• Check quantity and quality of items received and notify suppliers, Supervisors of deficiencies.
• Doing physical verification of stocks with computer data daily
• Receive the stock from Stores and check against the Issue Slips, for quantity, batch no, expiry etc.
• Follow up with vendors for medicines and delivery dates and ensure the bills are submitted for payments
• Make sure needed products are stocked and required reports get generated and filed.
• Month end inventory take physical stock and tally with the system.
• Check for expiry every once in 2 months and follow up with Doctors on the expired medicines how to discard.
• Maintenance of Inventory Control (the dated products to be controlled properly to prevent wastage due to expiration).
• Taking the stock of short-expiry medicines once a monthand non-moving medicines once in 6 months.
• Order medicines through authorized vendor raise a PO and GRN accordingly and Invoices to be signed and sent to accounts.
• Procure drugs etc with company authorized vendors only at the fixed price.
• Pack the medicines along with the prescription and the instructions on how to use, If patient prefers, counseling on dosage and regimen.
• Maintenance of proper labeling of drugs.
• Issuance of store materials, maintaining its formalities and keeping all relevant records.
• Perform administrative tasks of keeping patient files/cards up to date.
• Attend all scheduled staff meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.

• Responsible for ensuring the “three Rs” of right drug, right patient and right dose.
• Updating knowledge in different aspects of Administration building.
• Impart Practical training to trainee pharmacists.
• Take part in any Training program related to health as and when asked for.
• Co-operate with inspections and implement recommendation as appropriate.
• Perform opening and closing duties following the checklist.
• Complete assigned duties within each shift.
• Work as part of a team and promote harmonious relationship.
• Maintain Staff cards and medicine issue register, send it every month to accounts.
• Pack medicines as per SOP (pearl pet bottle, bubble wrap etc)
