PhD for Working Professionals 2019

IIM Shillong invites applications for its PhD (Working Professionals) in the following areas

Eligibility :  Candidates with Masters’ degree must have at least 5 years of professional experience as on 31st July, 2019. (Experience Certificate or Pay Slips would be required as proof). No Objection Certificate (NOC) from current employer is required.  Secondary and Higher Secondary Examination with minimum 60% aggregate marks for General Candidates. 50% aggregate marks for SC/ST Candidates.  A Masters’ degree or its equivalent in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks for General Candidates, 55% (Engineering students) or 50% (non-engineering students) aggregate marks for SC/ST Candidates or equivalent grade point average. OR  Graduation along with Professional qualifications of CA, ICWA and CS with at least 50% marks or equivalent.

Continuation Fee :   The candidates who go beyond the above stipulated time may be allowed to continue in the programme depending upon their progress and with payment of continuation fee but not beyond 07 years as under: 1. After completion of 04 years into the programme an extension of one year will be given subject to a payment of continuation fee of Rs 25000/ every 6 months. 2. After completion of 05 years into the programme an appeal to the Director has to be made and such participant may be allowed to continue in the programme on a six monthly extension basis for a period of maximum of two years subject to payment of a continuation fee of Rs. 50,000/- every 06 months.

Selection Process :  Candidates eligible as above, will be shortlisted based on recommendations of the appropriate committee. The shortlisted candidates will be invited for personal interview (and /or written test /video conferencing if necessary) for final selection at a location decided by IIM Shillong.
