Job Description
The WordPress developer will be responsible for updating, maintaining and implementing new features for WordPress sites. This is a hands-on role focusing on planning, designing, coding and implementing new features in WordPress to support all aspects of the business.
Position Responsibilities :
Desirable skills & experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of web development experience using LAMP technologies and wordpress.
- Candidate should have strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL. Creation of custom post types, plugins/widgets,Theme/Template integration
- Candidate should have worked with Facebook Graph API and Twitter API's, or other APIs.
- Understanding of RESTful Web Services technologies such as JSON, SOAP, and HTTP
- Knowledge of JQuery and Ajax along with Working knowledge of responsive design and development and Javascript
- Knowledge in designing and exposing client API using REST / SOAP.
- Strong SQL development skills writing fine-tuned queries. and design skills (data normalization, foreign key constraints, indexes, etc.)
Position Responsibilities :
- Hands-on developer - current role should involve coding
- Candidate should have strong OOPs coding skills, and the ability to take on current projects, and work with a team. Candidate must also have capacity to handle projects individually.
- Write clean, optimized, bug free code and ensure coding quality meets industry standards.
- Highly motivated and works with minimum supervision.
Desirable skills & experience:
- Web Page Designing, converting PSD into wordpress themes an asset.
- Working knowledge of Payal standard, Paypal Payments Pro an asset
- Working knowledge of Stripe Payments an asset
- Advanced Custom Fields Pro Plugin an asset
- WordPress Multisite an asset
