Required Skills:

• SDLC in an Agile environment- preferably doing 2 week sprints
• Strong in SQL (queries, stored procedures, triggers, joins ect)

Responsibilities and Duties

• Contribute to the group’s development standards, best practices, and methodologies
• Help define and scope projects accurately, as well as deliver within budgeted hours
• Refactor existing Magento mondules, implement new functionality and extensions.
• Develop, coordinate, and evolve quality assurance (testing) procedures to ensure error-free work product.
• Continue to foster/create a development environment conducive to creativity, collaboration, experimentation, and a true “Maker” mentality.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Love to Code: this is a new software development role, you will be writing primarily new code, debugging code, mentoring a team of developers, and interacting with multiple APIs every day
• Embrace New Technology: Gemaire is rapidly expanding its online presence and requires a leader who is constantly learning and adjusting
• Magento/Zend/MVC: you have an intimate knowledge of large PHP MVC applications and frameworks including how to optimize PHP code for performance.
• SQL and Relational Databases: as an operating distributor our APIs are responsible for reaching into many SQL databases (DB2 would be a plus) in the act of servicing requests.
