Physiotherapist
Job Description
- Assess the physical condition of patients to diagnose problems and plan appropriate treatment.
- To provide treatments to patients by use of handling, manual physiotherapy techniques, exercise therapy and electrotherapy.
- Educate patients & their families and the community to prevent injury and disability and to lead healthy lifestyle. Any other responsibilities assigned by the departmental head or such person nominated from time to time co-ordinate with the team for planning most effective therapy regime.
- To be responsible for the patients care of the allocated patients in the allocated area.
- To assess the pre-operative patients and provide the physiotherapy education including breathing exercises, Incentive spirometry etc
- To assess the patients in the ITU and provide appropriate Physiotherapy services including early mobilization etc.
- To assess the patient in the post operative ward and provide Physiotherapy Services including group exercise therapy with music therapy etc.
- To prepare the patient for discharge under the supervision of senior and unit In - Charge
- Reporting the activities including patient care and the progress to the unit In – Charge.
- To be responsible to update all concerned records in the particular unit.Plan and co-ordinate Departmental records, registers and patient treatment notes. Continuing professional development
