Job Description

Applications for the post of Placement Assistant, Student Services are invited from highly motivated candidates who have graduated from recognized University with first class (CPI 6.75 or equivalent percentage & above).

1. Post name: Placement Assistant

2. The candidates with graduation in Science/Engineering/Management and having experience in professional communication at industry/business secretariat/service institutions/ marketing sector with command on spoken and written English Communication will be preferred. He/She should have good coordination, communication and interpersonal skills.

3. The engagement is purely on contract basis and for a period of six months extendable by another six months depending on performance.

4. Remuneration payable is Rs. 25,000/- p.m. (consolidated).

5. Job Responsibilities, terms and conditions for the post of Placement Assistant: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Essential duties and responsibilities include, and are not strictly limited to, the following:

1) To coordinate the institute placement team and industry campus placement representatives, students for placement activities personally, offline and online.

2) Professional development and employment search for students online, offline and over social platforms.

3) Maintain accurate and confidential student placement credits records.

4) To invite and respond to all industry HR questions or requests regarding placement support, activity, and VNIT students counselling if required.

5) Coordination with departments, departmental coordinators for establishing placement links with industries.

6) Office support for maintaining records.

7) To Coordinate the campus placement and interviews conduction process at the institute jointly with Placement, Executive, VNIT, Nagpur

8) Perform reference and background checks on students as needed.

9) Follow established procedures and guidelines of the institute issued time to time.

10) If the situation demands, he/she must be prepared to work on holidays and Saturday/Sundays for the official activities as per the norms of the institute.

11) Other duties assigned, such as, arranging various trainings/ internships for students, time to time by competent authorities.

12) Should be available on phone as and when required for official duties on Saturdays and Sundays.

13) Candidate should have good audio, video and internet facilities in order to work from home, as and when required.

6. Qualifications: Any science, engineering/technology or management graduate with command over spoken and written English.

7. Experience: Minimum 3 years Experience in professional communication/ marketing/ industry secretariat/ campus placements etc.

8. Skills: Skills and Capacity to handle Company campus placement executives and students simultaneously. Proficient in professional English communication, Microsoft Office, word, Excel, power point and use of Social platforms for professional applications.
