Postdoctoral Fellow job opportunities in Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR)
Eligibility : The applicant should hold a Ph.D. degree in Science or Engineering with very good academic record and have interests in using neutron and MuSR techniques in Nano Science and Technology. He/She should have some experience in diffraction/scattering techniques with Synchrotron X-ray or Neutron sources and/or MuSR techniques. They should be below 40 years of age and have evident capabilities in the relevant areas.
The selected candidate will be engaged in a research program that involves major use of Neutron and or Muon at the ISIS facility of RAL, UK. During the stay at ISIS, in addition to his/her work, the candidate will be trained in a wide range of beam lines available to Indian researchers. The candidate will interact closely with the other users from India and help them in collecting and analyzing data.
The term of the position is for one year beginning January 01, 2020.The Fellowship carries a consolidated monthly stipend of £2000 per month (inclusive of subsistence allowance).
Process of Selection : The candidate will be selected based on the recommendation of a Selection Committee after the scrutiny of their bio-data and performance in the interview. Applicant’s academic and research record will be the key factors for consideration of the application.
