Postdoctoral Fellowship
Qualification : The applicants should either hold a Ph.D. degree in Science or Engineering or should have submitted the Ph.D. thesis involving some research experience in neutron/MuSR with a very good academic record and have interests in Nano Science and Technology.
Fellowship : The fellowship carries a consolidated monthly stipend of Rs.55,000/- when the candidate is posted in India and Rs. 2000 per month
Age : They should be below 40 years of age and have evident capabilities in the relevant areas.
Short-Term Student Fellowships
Qualification : Ph.D. students who are currently engaged in materials research that require the use of neutron and muon based techniques will be eligible for this fellowship. Applicants should have completed two years of their Ph.D. work in the area related to neutron/MuSR. The selected candidate will be staying at ISIS during the entire duration of beamtime in a year (6 months) and use beamlines of Indian access for own use and help other users of Indian researchers.
Fellowship : The selected candidate(s) will get an additional fellowship of Rs.20,000/- per month for one year. In addition, during the stay at ISIS, they will be paid Rs.1200per month as subsistence allowance.
Mode of Selection : The candidates will be selected based on
the recommendations of a Selection Committee after the scrutiny of their
bio-data, research proposal, and performance in the interview. Applicant’s
academic and research record and the merit of the proposed research will be the
key factors for consideration of the application
